Interview Benchmark

Most hiring decisions are made in five minutes. The interview after that is theatre.
One in three interviewers decide within the first five minutes of meeting someone, before a single competency question gets asked. What they're really scoring is confidence, charm, how the person fills a room.
None of that is on the job description.
A 2022 meta-analysis of hiring methods found structured interviews are the strongest predictor of job performance of any selection method tested, well ahead of resumes, unstructured interviews, and years of experience.
We run every senior candidate through 25 JS-calibrated questions, scored, not vibed, whilst also considering soft skills, dress, persona, engagement & likeability.
Two candidates on a recent search had near-identical CVs. Same sector, same quota history, same tenure.
One scored 89. The other scored 61. On paper, you'd never have known which was which. If your interview process can't explain, in a number, why one candidate beat another, it isn't a process.
It's a first impression with a job title.
